Credit limits explained
Why your first limit is what it is, and the reliable way to grow it.
Limits start modest on purpose
A smaller first limit proves the plan works for you before larger amounts are offered. It's protection, not a judgement.
On-time payments grow it
A run of payments made on the agreed dates is the single biggest driver of a higher limit.
Missed payments shrink it
Falling behind can freeze or reduce a limit. If a month looks tight, ask to move the date before the payment is due.
It's not a target
A limit is the most you can borrow, not a suggestion. Order what fits the budget, not the ceiling.
Understood it? Put it to use.
